HOW TO TELL IF YOUR DECISIONS WILL BRING YOU SUCCESS

Who do you blame if your financial, physical, mental, and spiritual, situation is not where you want it to be? If you blame anyone but yourself; you are on the road to failure. Why? Because you are not taking responsibility for where you are, and if you do not take responsibility, you have no power to change anything. In today’s litigious society, the fault is always someone else’s, even when we know it’s our fault, it’s not. Legal ads are a clear indication of our society’s unwillingness to accept any blame for our condition.

One legal ad encourages its potential clients; if they feel they got mesothelioma by standing next to someone who had it, to call them. Mesothelioma is a disease one acquires from long time, or large amounts of exposure to asbestos; yet these law firms are encouraging people to sue corporations because they stood next to someone who had the disease.

A burglar sued a home owner because the dog, which was in the house, bit the burglar when he was attempting to break in the home; and he won. Because placing blame on others could be very lucrative, especially for the lawyers, society is encouraged to not accept responsibility for its’ actions.

While backing out of my driveway one day; I backed into a parked car, it was a fender bender, however, it was clear that the people thought I would somehow try to blame them. Even though I offered to exchange information and we could both call it in, they insisted on calling the police. When the police arrived they took the information, from the other party first, and then they came to me and asked me what happened. I said I backed into their car, the police looked shocked and asked, “and it was your fault?” I said yes it was my fault. All hostilities disappeared, on the other parties end; they clearly thought it was going to be a fault blaming confrontation, and understandingly so, we are conditioned to not accept responsibility for our actions.

As Andy Andrews states in his classic book “The Traveler’s Gift,” where he reveals the seven decisions for success, “The Buck Stops Here;” the buck stops with you. You are responsible for your past; therefore you are responsible for your future. Where ever you are in life, it is because of the decisions you have made, plain and simply. If you don’t like where you are in life, make better decisions. You can’t change your past; however you can learn its lessons and make better decisions because of it. Accepting total responsibility for your condition will tell you that you are on the road to success; making that decision it is a good beginning.

Once you have accepted the responsibility for your present conditions, you are ready to take the next step to put yourself on the right track. But how do you make the adjustments that will bring about the results you desire. Let’s stop there; what is it you desire? When was the last time you took an hour, or a half hour even, to stop and think about what you really want out of this life you have been blessed with. I know, sometimes you feel it might be a curse, but believe me, it is a blessing to live; and to live in a country where you can freely fulfill your dreams, if you are willing to put in the effort; and pay the taxes!

Take the time to dream, and than seek wise counsel. The decision to seek wise counsel can not be over emphasized; find someone who have been, or is where you want to go. So many times a person will have a good idea and make the mistake of sharing it with those who do not have vision; or worse, don’t write it down and by the next week, it’s just a distant memory or forgotten entirely. Ideas are not ours to keep; they are to act on, if we don’t, someone else will be blessed with the same idea and bring it into fruition.

When you focus on what you desire, ideas will come to guide you. Seek wise counsel to help you channel your efforts towards that which you desire. Let him or her know that you admire the success he or she has achieved and would like to emulate them, that is the greatest gift you can give to a wise person. The wise knows that passing on knowledge increases their abundance. If there is no one in your immediate vicinity join a group of like minded people via the internet, study the leader. Read self help books; the one mentioned above is an excellent guide, “The Traveler’s Gift” by Andy Andrews; Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill is another excellent read. Listen to positive thinking tapes that will put you in the right mind set, Lead the Field by Earl Nightingale is an excellent source for successful thinking, and who can forget Jim Rohm’s tapes and lectures, he recently passed on; however, he left us a wealth of positive information on successful mind and goal setting. Listen to motivational conference calls, informational webinars. There are endless avenues to prosper from wise counsel. Decide to seek wise counsel; a couch potato can only instruct you on how to become a couch potato; a successful person will show you the concepts of becoming successful. Seeking wise counsel is the next step to successful decision making and is a sure sign that you are on the road to success.

There are several other indicators that will let you know that you are making the right decisions for a successful future, however, none will bear fruit, but action. Action is the elixir that will allow you to realize success. If action is not taken, the other steps will not benefit you. The saying “Education without application is just information,” is very true. Everybody can gather information, the derelict has it, the couch potato has it, and the person on his or her deathbed moaning with regrets has it. The successful, are the ones who took action based on their knowledge, the ones who applied with conviction, the gift of the idea(s) that was bestowed upon them. Make a conscience decision to take action, now is the perfect time.

Here we stand at the beginning of a new year, a new decade, a new life; if we so choose. This is a perfect storm to chart your success and than charge! Take action. Let the buck stop with you, seek wise counsel, and act. Here’s to your successful, year, decade, and life; cheers.

Diamond Mines

Diamond Mines
Why does there seem to be a certain psychological block, when it comes to the average person taking a networking opportunity and working as hard at it as they do at their jobs. Jim Rohm, famous Author of motivational books and highly recognized speaker says "You have to work harder on yourself than you work on your business." Maybe that is the reason, most of us would rather not dig too deeply into our own subconscious, there's a lot of stuff in there. However if we don't work on ourselves, we will go to our graves full of potential, and potential is nothing but unfulfilled dreams and unreached goals.

Another highly recognized motivational speaker, I believe it was Zig Ziegler, said "Leaders are uncomfortable before they are comfortable." It isn't easy digging for diamonds, but it's well worth it. Every human being is a mine of diamonds.

So I say dig, go through the discomfort, pain even, unearth your true potential and fulfill it. Replace mediocrity accomplishments, with extraordinary achievement. Dig before you're being dug for, and all of your could haves and should haves are buried with you.

Let you Epitaph read:
Here lie the remains of a job well done.
Life, lead to the fullest, regrets, none.
Dreams were fulfilled, all goals met.
A smile on the face, when the sun set.

Positive Mental Attitude

Have you heard the adage "You are what you eat?" Meaning, what foods you constantly eat determines your physical and in part, mental attitude (MA), well the same is true for your mind. The thoughts you constantly focus on will determine your MA, positive thoughts= a positive mental attitude (PMA), negative thoughts = a negative mental attitude (NMA).

The secret is, your subconscious mind can not determine positive from negative, that is not its job; it feeds back what is put in so "garbage in, garbage out," (GiGo). Example, if I want to be a successful entrepreneur and focus on all of the reasons I am not, that's what my subconscious will feed me, all of the reasons I am not a successful entrepreneur. The following are some steps you can take to achieve your goals.

1. Seek out like minded people, don't ask a couch potato how to be successful, unless you want to be a successful couch potato. The person who is not successful can not show you how to become a success; and they probably do not want you to become successful because it magnifies their failure. So seek out those who want what you want and mastermind with them.

2. Read positive thinking, self improvement books. You can also read how to books in the field you are venturing into, but always include positive thinking and self improvement books in your library, because the most important aspect is a PMA.

3. Find people who have achieved what you want and make them your mentors. You do not have to personally know them, just know of them or join an organization they are leading. However, if you can make personal contact with one of them you will benefit more. Real successful people love to share their knowledge, it helps them to give back to society and solidifies what they know. If I am successful and I can mentor you to success it reinforces my knowledge.

4. As you receive knowledge, act on it, if you squirrel knowledge away you will lose it. Procrastination is death to any dream. Only through action do you gain know how. I procrastinated for three months before I got up the courage to make my first video, I could have been well on my way to financial freedom, if not there but for the fact that I was camera shy. Even after my mentor told me that to be successful on the Internet I had to put one video a day out over the next 90 days, I waited 90 days to produce my first one because I let fear overcome my desire for financial freedom. After making my first video, I am loving the camera, it's my best friend, I love having conversations with it and everyday I'm getting better and better.

5. Enjoy the journey, life is not about reaching goals, it's about the journey to your goal. If you are not enjoying the journey you are letting life pass you by. Most of all you will miss out on the lessons life has to teach you. Each goal we obtain should be fill with learning experiences that helped us grow, success is more about personal development than it is about earning money. With a positive PMA you know that where you are at now does not determine who you are. A reporter was preparing to interview a famous restaurateur and in her research of his name came across a homeless person about ten years back with the same name. During the interview she mentioned her findings and asked if the restaurateur was related or knew him. The man said it was him, the reporter asked in shock, when he was destitute, if he thought he would achieve what he had achieved. He stated that he was never destitute, where he was, was not who he was, he always knew he would be great that was just a temporary situation.

The famous producer Tyler Perry was homeless at one time, on his way to fame. He knew it was just a temporary situation. There are countless other examples I can think of, it's all in their MA, their PMA. If you would like to be introduced to my mentor and learn how to develop a PMA on your way to financial freedom go to http://www.yourinternetbiz.biz/ .
