Diamond Mines
Why does there seem to be a certain psychological block, when it comes to the average person taking a networking opportunity and working as hard at it as they do at their jobs. Jim Rohm, famous Author of motivational books and highly recognized speaker says "You have to work harder on yourself than you work on your business." Maybe that is the reason, most of us would rather not dig too deeply into our own subconscious, there's a lot of stuff in there. However if we don't work on ourselves, we will go to our graves full of potential, and potential is nothing but unfulfilled dreams and unreached goals.
Another highly recognized motivational speaker, I believe it was Zig Ziegler, said "Leaders are uncomfortable before they are comfortable." It isn't easy digging for diamonds, but it's well worth it. Every human being is a mine of diamonds.
So I say dig, go through the discomfort, pain even, unearth your true potential and fulfill it. Replace mediocrity accomplishments, with extraordinary achievement. Dig before you're being dug for, and all of your could haves and should haves are buried with you.
Let you Epitaph read:
Here lie the remains of a job well done.
Life, lead to the fullest, regrets, none.
Dreams were fulfilled, all goals met.
A smile on the face, when the sun set.
